BAILEY'S BUNDLE'S - CARE PACKAGES FOR DEPLOYED TROOPS

Vivian Mildred Corbett Bailey, affectionately known as “Millie,” was born in Washington, DC on February 3, 1918 and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  After graduating as her high school’s valedictorian, she enlisted in the Women’s Army Corps during WWII and served from December 1942 to January 1946.  During the Vietnam War, Millie sent her first care package to a young Marine Corporal in ~1967 and continued to support deployed Service members until her passing in 2022 at the age of 104.  In 2021 alone, Bailey’s Bundles mailed roughly 230 boxes weighing 1,900 pounds at a cost of $2,700. To honor her legacy, Post 156 continues to send Bailey's Bundles to our deployed Service members.  Here are the types of items we collect:
