Brothers, Sisters, Ukraine

American Legion Post 156, Ellicott City, Maryland has established Brothers, Sisters, Ukraine to organize monetary donations in support of the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. Annually, American Legion Post 156 collects and distributes approximately $20,000 support to charities and non-profit organizations. 100% of all donations made are distributed. ALL donations provided to Brothers, Sisters, Ukraine go in a specially designated account and will ONLY be used in support of the Ukraine crisis.

Howard County Fallen Heroes Tribute

To honor Howard County residents who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, the Office of Veteran and Military Families is proud to announce the creation of the Fallen Heroes Tribute page.

According to the Department of Defense, updated requirements now state all service-connected Veterans, Purple Heart recipients, former prisoners of war (POW), and individuals approved and designated as the primary family caregivers of eligible Veterans under the Department of Veterans Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) can use commissaries, exchanges, and morale, welfare and recreation (MWR) retail facilities, in-person and online.

Adams, Hanna, Moore Memorial Post 156 welcomes Veterans and active duty service members from all branches of our Armed Forces. New legislation has been signed opening up eligibility for more veterans to join the American Legion. If you've served any time from December 7th, 1941 to present, we'd love to have you stop by and fill out an application! Joining our post enables you to continue serving your God, country and community. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble.

To the wonderful, patriotic citizens of the Howard County, thank you for supporting our Post. As a tax exempt organization defined by IRS code 501(c)19, your donations are 100% tax deductible. All money raised is given back to Veterans or the local community. Help us to continue supporting financially worthy community programs and projects. Your support will allow us to continue sponsoring scholarships for youth, while also giving aid and assistance to our local Veterans and their families.
